The Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Commission developed the CEO Leadership Charter to support the continuous improvement of healthy and safe workplaces throughout our province.
Injury prevention affects the lives of the workers of our province. All workers have the right to return home everyday, safely. Moreover, safety makes good business sense. Newfoundland and Labrador is well on its way to becoming one of the safest places in Canada to work. This achievement will bring new workers and new business to our province and help grow our economy.
The Charter is based on the principle that the effective management of health, safety and wellness is essential to the operation of a successful business. As ambassadors for safer workplaces, the CEO Leadership Charter signatories have demonstrated their commitment to the prevention of accidents and promotion of health and safety in the workplace.
