Take care of it before it's an accident
Workplace safety is everyone’s responsibility and all of us should do something, no matter how small, to prevent injuries from happening.
That’s the message behind our social marketing campaign which targets all Newfoundlanders and Labradorians. Most of you are probably familiar with our television ads featuring the bucket, the ladder, and of course, the nail. We recently added two more ads to that campaign – one featuring a saw blade and guard, and one featuring duct tape holding together a pipe.
The social marketing campaign was created to inspire all Newfoundlanders and Labradorians to be safety leaders. Because safety leadership isn’t just about being a member of the OH&S committee or completing the WHMIS training. A safety leader is also the person who moves the bucket out of the way, fixes the broken ladder or removes the protruding nail. That’s all it takes. Something so simple can have such an enormous impact.
