The Commission has secured prices for commonly prescribed health care supplies and adaptive aids through the public tendering process. This ensures that the Commission can access quality products for injured workers on a timely basis in a financially responsible manner.
When prescribing health care items, the treating health care provider should submit a completed
Health care devices and supplies prescription form to the Commission including the rationale for the prescribed item(s), as well as the measurement or size required by the injured worker, if applicable. Approved items that appear on the tendered item list will be ordered from the appropriate vendor. Delivery is available if required. If the Commission approves a prescribed item(s) that is not on the Health Care Tendered Items List, the Commission’s Health Care Benefits Assistant will place the order with an appropriate vendor once cost and availability of the item have been considered. Health care tendered item list.
